About Me

I am a Christian first of all.  I am wife to Prentice and mother to Peyton.  I work full time as a Case Manager for individuals with intellectual disabilities. One of the ways I like to show God's love to others is by helping them as best as I can, whether it is with a listening ear, a bag of groceries, a coat or even a plate of hot leftovers. I am not a wealthy person, but I am willing to share the things with which I have been blessed!

About Me

I love Jesus, my family & friends, & helping others. I worked as a case manager for Lake Cumberland Community Action for 2 1/2 yrs., & hope to be able to help others on this site by telling them about places they can go for help & programs that might help them. I try to live my life so that at the end of each day, I can look into the mirror & know that I made a positive contribution to society that day. Sometimes I blow it, but I don't use that as an excuse to ever stop trying!

About Me

The Refuge is a ministry of a different color. God gave Pastor Sean the vision to reach out to a lost generation, a generation that does not truly know Him, just about Him. A generation that is Gospel hardened and religious in nature. The generation of young men and women that are here now are growing up knowing about God the same as they do about islam, buddism, black magic and other religions. The Lord wants His children to know the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We at the Refuge will serve truth and love to his children of all ages and walks of life. If we have to label the ministry we are doing here we would be more of an Evangelical Outreach Center. God guided us in creating an environment that is safe and relaxed, casual and inviting, to be able to reach out in a different way but with the same convictions that the Word requires.

We are a City of Refuge like the ones established in the 35th chapter of the book of Numbers. Only here we will be offering shelter from your adversary the devil, who runs "to and fro seeking whom he may devour" (1Peter 5:8). So if you need prayer for any reason come by and you will recieve it.

If you need to talk, just ask some questions, come by and ask. If you need healing in your body or deliverance for your soul, God is able to supply your needs. Believe God for what you need in your life.

The Refuge will reach out to young people, young adults and the young at heart on Saturday evenings begining @ 7p.m. and going until 10 p.m. A safe place to listen to music, perform drama, play pool, play video games (Spirit Guitar, Retro Systems).

This outreach is for youth and young adults who are saved or just want a safe place to be and specifically for youth and young adults who have no place to go and are not saved but want to feel safe as well. Everyone will be ministered to on a personal level with the goal of salvation for the lost and strengthening for the already saved. There is no cost to anyone, God is able to provide for his children.

We will be holding Christian Rock Concerts as often as possible (check the calender) that will be free as well. (We have some awsome indy bands here.) We are also branching out into internet radio and television. God has given Pastor Sean a massive vision for outreach and is now making the vision become reality.

The Refuge will also offer Family Discipleship Training with the main focus being the strengthening, through teaching of the word and laying on of hands in prayer for all who have need, of the family as a unified whole. This can take place in cell groups as the need requires. The family is another lost generation that God intended to be strong. We want to bulid up the faith and strength of our families for the glory of God. We will make written material available for those who want it.

As you visit the site please sign the guestbook and leave your testimony, if The Refuge has helped you let us know about it. You are special to God and and loved at The Refuge. If you are able, stop by and see us in person. All are welcome in God's house. Seek Refuge in His presence!
