Actions speak louder than words.I've never seen someone with wings, but I have felt the love of those who seem to have them, thats what I want to serve with each meal. A heart full of love & a plate full of food.
The mission statement for The Living Bread Soup Kitchen is to serve food for the body, Love for souls and hope for the future.
Every person should be treated with dignity and respect, therefore we try to treat all people that eat at the Soup Kitchen as our guests and anyone is welcome at our table. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone causing problems but we WILL give them food to go.
Feeding a hungry person is a first step in addressing their needs.
People who are hungry may have broader issues and needs that should be recognized.
Our volunteers and supporters are a valued asset and we know that they are essential to our success. We continue to strive to ensure every volunteer and guest has a positive and safe experience with the Soup Kitchen. Everything we do is to glorify God.
It is our hope and goal to make sure that no needy person shall go hungry.
Our soup kitchen plans for the future.
We are waiting & praying for our own building, As we continue to work & as funds come in we would love to open everyday. By having our own space we can not only feed the hungry on a daily bases but would like to offer a meal for children after school & during school breaks. We would then like to add a food pantry, supplies for burn out victims, showers, free washer & dryer use. Always adding to as God supplies.
The operation of the kitchen is run entirely by volunteers that prepare the meals along with cleaning and all maintenance of the kitchen's facility.
We are a non profit organization. Funding for the living Bread Soup Kitchen operations, at present, come solely from donors & fundraisers.
